Central Texas Farm Credit to Award $10,000 in Scholarships to Agricultural Youth Leaders

Central Texas Farm Credit will award $10,000 in scholarships to high school seniors who plan to make a positive impact on the agricultural industry. The scholarship program, which began in 2015, awards $2,000 to five high school graduates who will pursue an agricultural related degree. The recipients are selected based on academic achievements, extra-curricular activities, and an essay.

  • Central Texas Farm Credit will award five (5) one-time scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each.
  • Applicant must be a graduating high school senior.
  • Must pursue an agriculture related degree. These include but are not limited to: agricultural business, agricultural economics, animal science, agricultural education, etc. Non-agriculture related degree applicants will be disqualified.
  • Must reside inside of Central Texas Farm Credit's 19 county territory (see application).
  • Be accepted to a junior college, community college, or four-year university.
  • Complete necessary steps outlined in the application process described below.
  • All scholarship application materials must be received no later than March 15, 2018 at 4:00pm.
  • Scholarships recipients will be chosen in April 2018 and contacted by the Central Texas Farm Credit administrative office.
