Central Texas Farm Credit (CTFC) director Kenneth Harvick has retired from the association's board of directors after 12 years of service.
A longtime Farm Credit member, Harvick was elected to the CTFC board in 2012. He is a rancher in Comanche County where he runs a cow-calf and haying operation. He is the former president of Gore’s, Inc. in Comanche, Texas, which was a dairy, beef cattle, and feed manufacturing business that operated in Texas and New Mexico.
"Kenneth is a strong supporter of agriculture, and he believes in our mission to provide reliable and affordable financing to farmers, ranchers, and rural property owners," said Robby Halfmann, CTFC board chairman. "During his time on the board, he provided valuable insights that shaped our strategies to effectively serve our customer-owners."
Harvick is the past president of the Texas Holstein Association and is currently a member of the Comanche Roping Club and other community organizations. He and his wife, Vickie, are members of First Baptist Church in Comanche, and they enjoy spending as much time as possible with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
“As I reflect back on my past 12 years of service as a board member of CTFC, I most appreciate how the association has grown our asset base by approximately 90% to more than 718 million dollars,” Harvick said. “While doing so, we continued to serve our members with the thought that ‘we don’t want to make a loan to everyone, we just want to make a loan to you.’ Thank you to the stockholders for allowing me to represent you, and to all the employees and fellow board members for being the best. You were a joy to work with.”
