EARLY, Texas — Central Texas Farm Credit recently hired Mark Jones as its vice-president branch manager in Early. The office serves customers in Brown, Comanche, and Mills counties.
Jones brings a tremendous amount of experience in commercial banking to his new role. Most recently, he served as the branch president at Eden State Bank.
The Brady native lives in McCulloch County, where he is a partner in his family’s ranching operation.
“Mark understands our rural market and will be an invaluable asset to the Central Texas Farm Credit team,” said Travis McKinney, chief credit officer. “His extensive banking background and management capabilities will benefit our customers and the community.”
Jones holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from Texas Tech University, with an emphasis in finance. He’s a graduate of the Texas Tech School of Banking and active in numerous professional and volunteer organizations. Jones is a board member for Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers (TSCRA), the Texas Tech Alumni Association National Board of Directors, and is a former member of the Texas Tech University Junction Center Advisory Council. He was appointed by Governor George W. Bush to the Texas Agricultural Finance Authority and was later appointed by Governor Rick Perry to serve on the Texas Farm and Ranch Conservation Council. Additionally, he’s a former member and past president of the Hill County Bankers Association, is a former member of the Young Bankers Division of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas, and former representative to the Texas Bankers Association Board of Directors.
Central Texas Farm Credit finances farmland and ranchland, agribusiness operations, rural homes and recreational property in its 20-county area. A member of the Farm Credit System, it is headquartered in Early and has branch offices in Brady, Early, Coleman, Comanche, Haskell, San Angelo, and San Saba.
