Polk’s history with Central Texas and the San Angelo branch goes back to 2011, when he came on board as a senior credit analyst. Since then, he moved on to become assistant vice president of credit analysis and then to his most recent position as vice president of lending. Prior to his Farm Credit career, Polk was a risk management economist for the Texas AgriLife Extension Service.

Polk holds bachelor’s degrees in both agricultural economics and business administration in general business, and a master’s degree in agricultural and applied economics, all from Texas Tech University.

“In his recent role as vice president of lending, Wade has become familiar with all aspects of managing the day-to-day operations of the San Angelo branch, so it is only natural that the next step for him is to be branch manager,” said Central Texas Chief Credit Officer Travis McKinney. “We are confident that under his leadership the office will continue to flourish and serve the farmers, ranchers and rural landowners who are our member-owners.”

Central Texas Farm Credit is a member of the nationwide Farm Credit System, financing farm and ranch land, agribusiness operations, rural land and homes, and recreational property in its 20-county area. Headquartered in Early, the 100-year-old cooperative has branch offices in Brady, Early, Coleman, Comanche, Haskell, San Angelo, and San Saba.
